The dinner and both breakfasts were faultless, and every member of staff was especially cheerful and helpful. We had a perfect two-night stay. Our room was directly above the bar, but the live music finished in good time, so we slept really well. All in all, an outstanding visit.

We ate here twice while staying in Swansea and will definitely be back. It gets busy, and it’s easy to see why. The gluten-free options were plentiful, including delicious desserts, and the food was excellent, sensibly priced and absolutely delicious. Amazing service too. Every staff member was helpful, polite and knowledgeable. We were blown away by the place. Other restaurants could learn from how they run things.

The cottage was beautiful and had a great outdoor space. We stayed there with our dog while visiting relatives, as we’re originally from the area. The one letdown was not being able to try the pub itself because dogs aren’t allowed. We thought that was absurd for a Gower country pub, where it seems like they could easily set aside a dog-friendly area. We live in York, and compared with Swansea, dogs are welcome almost everywhere here, apart from Sam Smith pubs, where phones and dogs are banned. That’s absurd too.

We’re back for our fourth visit to the King Arthur, and still absolutely love it. The restaurant food is exceptional, and breakfast uses good quality produce with plenty of options. It’s a busy pub with locals and visitors, but they make you feel welcome. The staff are attentive and there when you need them. The place feels cosy and welcoming, and it’s perfectly placed for the many beaches and walks. Those five stars people give it are well deserved. Thanks to the whole team for making our stay perfect.

The beaches and scenery around here are beautiful. The pub itself is an old-fashioned traditional place, warm and cosy, with a lovely atmosphere. Food is great, prices are good and the staff are friendly. The rooms have what you need. Rooms inside the pub are traditional, while the annex rooms are very spacious and have modern bathrooms. xx
