The Swan Hotel Smoke Taphouse

We had a lovely view of the canal from where we were seated at Smoke & Taphouse. The atmosphere was great, and the server made us feel comfortable right away with a really warm welcome. The food was so good I was still thinking about it hours later. Amazing service, food and vibe from start to finish.

We held a baby shower at The Swan Taphouse, and they looked after everyone so well. The staff were attentive, professional and accommodating throughout, taking care of every detail efficiently. They also catered beautifully to the needs of the mum- and dad-to-be. The venue was just right for the occasion, and the service went beyond what we expected. A heartfelt thank you to the whole team for helping make the celebration so memorable and enjoyable. I’d highly recommend it for a special occasion.

We’ve been to the swan taphouse many times for lunch, and it’s always nice. We’ve also tried the afternoon tea three times using Groupon. It’s good value and the food is good, but the portions have shrunk each visit. The first time, we got two or three ribs and two wings each, plus the other items. The next time it was two mini ribs and two wings, and this time just one rib and one wing each. I suppose they’ve cut the portions instead of raising the price. It’s still worth the money, but I wish there were more ribs, as they really elevate the meal 🥰

The manager gave us a lovely welcome and was very accommodating. For the price, it’s fine, but only because of the price. We booked seven rooms and every one had some kind of problem. Mine had no hot water and the radiator didn’t work. Still, the bed was clean and comfy, so hey ho.
