Hugh made our stay feel idyllic. He was warm and helpful but also discreet, and thoughtful about the little extras. His breakfasts were gorgeous, especially the daily special. I’d pop in just for breakfast regularly if we lived closer. We booked a small double on the top floor and were surprised by how lovely it was, with everything we could need and a beautiful ensuite. The old townhouse has loads of character and feels homely, though a few small areas could use attention. We hope to return next year. Thanks so much, Hugh.

The breakfast was the highlight, cooked each morning by Huw, a very talented host. There was a delicious spread of cereals, fruit and yoghurt, followed by a huge cooked Welsh breakfast, all with exceptional attention to detail. Huw was friendly, engaging and happy to help without hovering. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the place is a short stroll from central Tenby. We loved our stay.

The location was great, and we loved Tenby, with plenty still left for us to explore. Hew was friendly and clearly put a lot of work into the place. His excellent breakfasts were much appreciated each morning of our four-night stay. But the room was small and felt claustrophobic, and it wasn’t as clean as we expected. For the price, the accommodation didn’t match the impression from the photos. The property could use some TLC and a deep clean throughout.

Huw was a great host and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts were huge, but the quality was just as good as the quantity. My husband had the full breakfast, while I tried the specials: mashed avocado on toast with poached eggs, then eggs Benedict with delicious hollandaise, and pancakes with fresh fruit, cream and maple syrup on our last day. Everywhere was spotless, with South Beach at the end of the street. The shower was great with plenty of hot water, though the cubicle was a little small. We stayed three nights and wished we could’ve stayed longer. We’ll be back.

A lovely place with friendly people, a good room and good food. They also had useful local knowledge about places to visit.
