Would I come back? No. This is quite possibly the worst Premier Inn I've stayed in, and I've stayed in plenty. Breakfast was a struggle as well. I booked for 10, though it runs until 10:30, and I'm a quick eater. On arrival I was firmly told they shut at 10:30 and then directed to sit in the far corner because they were closing. No one showed me where things were, though I found them, and eventually tracked someone down to order poached eggs. About five minutes later someone said they'd thrown the water away and it would take ages to heat for the eggs, asking if I would wait. I said yes, and there was some mumbling. They began packing away the bread and toast at 10:15, though luckily I'd already got toast. When the eggs came, the hot food on the hot plates was cold. Don't advertise the buffet as ending at 10:30 if you want to close it earlier, and don't be shirty with me about it. The room was freezing overnight. A colleague in another room had the same problem. The heating stayed at 18 or 19 degrees and dropped straight back down whenever we turned it up. Also, I drink a lot of water, but even after running the cold tap for ten minutes, it was only lukewarm. Reception said there was nothing they could do because the receptionist was alone, though she did offer a jug of ice water from the bar.

After a long day of travel, Mandy made checking in and settling down for the night feel easy. She was warm, welcoming and friendly, and nothing seemed like too much trouble. She was brilliant, and a real credit to Premier Inn.

Mandy really lifted my day during a lovely stay at this Premier Inn. She was welcoming from the moment I arrived, with a genuine, friendly manner and such a positive character. People who bring that much warmth and kindness to their work are rare. She's a real credit to the hotel, and made the stay feel special. Thank you, Mandy.

Breakfast came out about ten minutes late on Saturday, which was annoying when I was in a rush. The room itself was clean and comfortable, just a standard Premier Inn room. Staff were friendly enough, though the place is looking a bit tired.

I won't stay here again. The staff were rude and seemed unable to follow simple instructions. I booked through a third party, which had instructed the hotel to charge a virtual credit card for the room, breakfast and evening meal. Check-in went fine and nobody said there was a problem, but when I went for dinner the restaurant couldn't find the allowance on my room. The manager complained that she had to leave home and drive to a computer terminal to add it. Then someone knocked on my door to say my room and dinner weren't paid for and I had to pay or get out. I was on the phone while the receptionist shouted this at me. Thankfully, I was speaking to my husband, not a customer. Disgraceful. The rooms were dirty too.
