Jo and Stu were very helpful with suggestions for things to see nearby, and the guest house had a welcoming feel. It’s a quaint conversion of an old mill house. Our room was great and roomy enough for the two of us. The bar is popular, and Thursday is steak night. Our food was fantastic and very reasonably priced. We’d come back.

It’s a really nice country pub, with a cosy atmosphere and lovely staff, and we’d return for drinks and the setting. Unfortunately, our meal was poor. The food was burnt and inedible, and we sent more than half of it back. The staff apologised quickly and halved the bill. They said it was a one-off caused by kitchen issues. Hopefully we’ll have a better meal next time we visit.

My roast pork was so tender it melted in my mouth, and my wife’s nut roast was delicious too. We’d walked down the hill from Trebarwith to Trebarwith Strand for a Sunday roast at The Millhouse Inn. A friendly young staff member welcomed us and served us as well. It’s a shame we live so far away, but we’ll come back next time we’re staying nearby.

The location is excellent, and the outside looks lovely, with seating areas and electric charging points. I stayed in a family room, but the room itself was only okay. The second room smelled damp or of dog, I couldn’t tell which. The blinds were dusty, and the bedside tables hadn’t been cleaned. There was no body wash in the bathroom, though they sorted that out. Breakfast was okay. My two grown-up children said their steak at dinner was really nice, and it was reasonably priced at £16.

The room was cosy and perfect for sleeping, and the location is great. The hosts went above and beyond and were so friendly and accommodating. All the staff were amazing. We’ll definitely go back.
