The menu had plenty of variety and the food was really good. The rooms are lovely, and the staff are friendly and attentive. I've tried other hotels nearby, and some are getting a bit tired. I'll be back.

I was staying for a course nearby and check-in was quick, with no trouble finding my room. It was tidy and very clean, with all the mashing gear, a TV, an ironing board and iron, and a selection of towels. The room was laid out really nicely. The restaurant was spacious, clean, and well arranged, with a good range of beers, lagers, ciders, spirits, and wine. There were plenty of meal choices on the menu, and the mixed grill was very good. Breakfast was nice and just enough to get the day started. The staff were polite and handled questions efficiently. A great stay with good food and service. I'll come back when I can.

I went for the Valentine's Day meal and found the food a bit underwhelming, though for the price it wasn't bad. My parents stayed at the hotel. They liked the rooms and said breakfast was really good.

The food was delicious throughout the weekend, from the afternoon meal to the buffet and breakfast. We also stayed overnight, and the room was warm and very clean. I held my birthday party here on Saturday night, and the staff were friendly and accommodating the whole time. Thanks to Craig and the Red Lion team for making it such a perfect weekend!

We go to the Red Lion regularly, whether for a meal in the restaurant, a drink by the open fire in the cosy pub, breakfast, or coffee. The staff are helpful and friendly, and we love coming here. It's pet-friendly, with one room in the hotel set aside for pets. Before our stay there just before Christmas, I looked at two of the rooms. They're decorated and furnished to a high standard, with modern bathrooms. I'd recommend it for a quiet drink or meal. I like that the restaurant is separate from the bar and has waitress service, so you don't have to order food at the bar. Enjoy!
