The sea views and coastal setting were a real highlight, and the room stayed quiet and comfortable. There was a coffee machine and a range of complimentary things to use. Parking was straightforward, though it cost £15.00 per night. We were there for two nights in February for a theatre trip. Staff were lovely, and when our card wasn’t added to the room correctly, they fixed it after two attempts and apologised each time. Breakfast was £20 per person; the French toast was fantastic, and I was pleasantly surprised by the smoothies and hot choices. ‘The Cast’ rooftop bar serves great cocktails on certain days during the season, from 17:00. I’d happily return and recommend it.

The room was beautiful and spotlessly clean, with a wonderful view across the bay. Leave the curtains open overnight and you can wake up to a stunning sunrise. There’s also an underground car park on site, which means your car feels secure. This was our second stay, and a big improvement on our visit in December. The breakfast and service have changed so much for the better. Jaqui was a fantastic server and made strong coffee just how we like it. She even found cream for mine. I know, very 1970s! The food was great too, especially the chef’s perfectly poached eggs. Reception were friendly and helpful, and nothing seemed like too much trouble.

The views were great, and the hotel was clean and well located. Breakfast and evening meals were both really nice, with plenty of choice. We were glad we picked Hotel Indigo. Torquay for our trip. The reception and restaurant staff were amazing, friendly and efficient, with just the right balance of both. The American lady in the restaurant is a real credit to the hotel. We had a lovely two-night stay.

We were celebrating my girlfriend’s 50th birthday, and Jamie at reception noticed when I mentioned it. When we came back after a drink, the King Suite was ready, with prosecco on ice at the bedroom table and juice, tonic, local gin and chocolate in the fridge, all complimentary. Thanks, Jamie, it was much appreciated. Fabio made a very nice Margarita too. The suite was spacious, around 45m² including the bedroom and common area, and had a sea view. The bathroom had no bathtub, which might be a deal breaker for someone, but the shower was great, with good pressure and easy temperature control. The new hotel is well designed, colourful and easy to find and park at. Though it’s right by the main road, the soundproofing was so good we heard no noise. The air conditioning cooled and heated well. We arrived around noon and Jamie said the room might be ready before 3pm, suggesting we check back at 2pm. While waiting, we had coffee and a sandwich from the caffe in Torquay and sat for a while on the high parking lot overlooking Torquay. The stay was a comfortable step above what we expected, and the price was decent. We’d definitely come back.

Lovely modern room, spotless and really comfortable, and the staff were brilliant. I only wish we could have stayed longer. It would have been good to find dairy-free or vegan items in the fridge, rather than only chocolate and biscuits. Parking at £15 felt pretty expensive, although there’s free street parking nearby.
