The owners made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived, and nothing seemed too much trouble. Breakfast had loads to choose from, including continental food, fresh fruit and yoghurts. The freshly cooked full English was delicious, with quality local produce. They even served Prosecco with fresh strawberries for Valentine's weekend, such a thoughtful touch. We had a fantastic weekend at South Bank Town House in Torquay. The beds were so comfortable we slept incredibly well, and everywhere was spotless. The unique decor gives the hotel a lot of character. A real gem, we'd definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

The room was well equipped and had a stunning view. John was very helpful when we arrived and made us a wonderful breakfast the next morning. The location is perfect for Newquay town centre and the beaches. I'll book again on my next visit. 😁

We had a comfortable bed and a nice room layout, with an ensuite and a sitting room. The hosts were friendly, and everything was clean and in good condition. It's ideally placed for walking into town. Parking was available, and the lock box system worked well. I'd definitely stay again.

It's handy for getting quickly to either the town centre or seafront, depending which way you go from the property. The breakfast was really good, with plenty of decent choices, and the hosts were fantastic. Rooms range from king size to added luxury king size bedrooms, all in a very clean, tidy venue. Rear parking is limited, though usually manageable, and there's some on street parking too. The main drawback is for anyone in a front bedroom: Belgrave Road gets a lot of traffic, with idiots racing cars and very loud motorcycles until around midnight. We sleep heavily so it was fine for us, but those rooms wouldn't suit light sleepers.

This was our third year at Southbank Townhouse, and Danny and Dolores were as welcoming as ever. The shared areas and rooms were spotless and nicely presented, and the freshly cooked breakfast each morning is a highlight. It's a great location, only a short walk from the beach and marina. We hope to return next year!
