We were here for my niece’s wedding and had such a lovely stay. The room was huge, almost a suite, with a very comfortable double bed and a bathroom just outside. There was also a smaller room where we could leave our cases. Everything was spotless and wonderfully quiet, and breakfast was amazing. The house has so much history, and the grounds are vast and peaceful. We were lucky with the weather and got to sit outside. Taxis seem hard to come by in Ventnor, but Robert kindly drove us into town twice. Ruth and Robert made us feel so welcome, and that extra help made the stay fantastic.

The grounds are beautifully secluded, and the house and rooms are spectacular. It sits right beside the coastal path and very close to the Botanical Gardens, making it a great base for exploring the island with extended family or friends. We stayed two nights and wished we could have stayed longer. This place really is special.

We’d never visited the Isle of Wight before, so Lisle Combe was a lovely place to spend a long weekend with my husband. The Victorian B&B is tucked away and peaceful, and choosing it turned out to be a great decision. The house is beautiful inside and out, with many original features that have been well maintained. It feels comfortable and relaxing. The service was outstanding, and we had a truly memorable, enjoyable stay.

Ruth is a lovely host and made us a great breakfast. Lisle Combe has a magical feel, with a beautiful garden and an old house full of history and interesting details. It can get a little chilly, so bring an extra layer or two. That’s part of its charm, and it’s an ideal place for a getaway.

Lovely breakfast, comfortable rooms, good facilities, and everything was very clean. This family run B&B has sea views and is a short walk from the beach, with Ventnor just a short drive away. The house and gardens are absolutely stunning, and Ruth, the owner, is a perfect host. I’d definitely recommend it.
