Dale Hill Hotel & Golf Club

We played golf twice during our two-day break. The course was wet, but still great fun, and the greens were in good shape. The golf pro shop staff were brilliant. We stayed in the annexe, where the brand-new rooms were warm and very comfortable, with a great shower. The food was amazing, and everyone we met was helpful and friendly. The pool was great and warm, too. I’d definitely recommend a stay.

Everyone was keen to help, from the pro shop to the restaurant and breakfast team, and that service was the highlight of our trip. Even the fog couldn’t spoil it. We stayed for two nights and played three rounds; nobody in our group could think of a downside except the beer, which was nearly £7 a pint or bottle. Both courses were in great condition despite a month’s worth of rain the week before, and they were a real test but still lots of fun. Looking forward to coming back in summer.

Our wedding day in July ran so smoothly, and the whole schedule worked just as we’d hoped. There was no hanging around for rooms to be ready, and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day. We knew the venue was right from our first visit: Shauna showed us around and talked us through how everything would work, and we were sold straight away. Thank you to Shauna and all the staff at Dale Hill!

The Woosnam course was quite challenging, and there are two great courses here, though I only played that one. The hotel is lovely, clean, and well maintained, with welcoming staff. There’s a good choice of food, from bar meals to a sit-down three-course dinner, and it was very good. I’ll go again.
