For our work trip, we stayed at Wakefield Lime Lodge and found it clean, well priced, and backed by great service. Georgina at reception deserves a mention: she was friendly, full of useful information, and made us feel welcome. If we're back in the area, we'd stay here again without hesitation. Highly recommended.

The building's 19th century character made our stay charming, and inside the room was comfortable, with a cosy bed, hairdryer, kettle, tea and coffee. The staff were kind and friendly, quickly helping when we found the shower wasn't getting hot water. We also lost the key somehow, and they sorted it out for us despite the late hour. We really appreciated that. The motorway is nearby, but with the windows shut the road noise was very quiet, and the room wasn't too warm. It might be much louder outside, but it didn't bother us. The hotel is a lovely old building, though it could use some TLC.

We stayed for two nights, but the room really needed a deep clean. There were cobwebs, marks on the walls, and blown double glazing. The bathroom had mould and dirty grouting and also needed a thorough clean. If they'd taken care of that, I would've happily rated it higher.

The noise was ridiculous, and I wouldn't recommend staying here. The walls were so thin we could hear everyone, the toilet wouldn't flush, and the motorway was right beside us. Our window also looked out onto a bunch of graves in the cemetery next door.

I was comfortable in the large en-suite room, and the motorway didn't turn out to be noisy. I would've liked to open both windows, though only the small upper one would open. The friendly concierge also fixed our TV. We arrived after 8:00, a little later than the official check-in time, and the door still had a traditional key and lock. This was a last-minute choice after I couldn't find anything in Bradford that suited me for either taste or cost; the hotel was a 20-minute drive away. Planning permission work meant there was no breakfast on site. Saying we were staying at the hotel did get us 10% off at the local Indian restaurant in the pub down the road. The bed was comfortable, and I'd stay again.
