Dave and the staff made us feel so welcome, and were happy to sort out anything we needed. The hotel is still a project in operation, but that didn’t take away from the stay at all. We’ve stayed in more than 30 hotels around Europe this year, Paris included, and this was easily the best. The rooms were great for sleeping, with a bathroom and TV, and there’s parking for around 10 cars. Breakfast can be pretty much anything within reason. We had the usual sausage, bacon, eggs, beans and tomatoes, with toast and jam, plus tea and coffee. Getting into Liverpool was straightforward. We walked up St Paul's Road, turned right onto Poulton Road at the end, then left at the second set of lights to the bus stop. The return bus fare was £4. It took about 30 minutes to reach Royal Albert docks, including a 10 minute walk down Dale street. We’d highly recommend the hotel and will definitely be back.

You get the advantages of staying near central Liverpool without paying central Liverpool prices. It’s across the river from the Liver Building, and just a two minute walk to the ferry across the Mersey. Dave, the owner, made us feel very welcome. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast he cooked was so big I struggled to finish it. Really nice place to stay.

They made us a vegan breakfast every morning, and the staff also gave us helpful tips for sightseeing and getting around, which made the trip easier. The rooms were beautiful and clean, with lovely bedding and shower facilities. Thanks to the whole family for looking after us so well during our short stay. Everyone was so kind and generous. We’ll definitely stay here again next time we’re in Liverpool.

A joy from beginning to end. I felt safe and comfortable, the place was very clean, and I had a glorious breakfast. You can park your car safely here too. Highly recommend staying and enjoying it.

The manager was first class and helped us with everything, and the breakfast was amazing. It’s perfectly placed for the Belfast ferry, and getting into Liverpool by ferry is easy too. Our room did get noisy from the road, and it was so hot that we opened the window, but the traffic kept going. The boss brought us a fan for day two, which sorted it out. Great place.
