The Bishopstrow Hotel & Spa

We had a lovely lunch, with desserts that were just right, and got to see a few of the rooms. The restaurant has a homely feel and is nicely laid out. I also liked the wine cellar, even though I don’t drink wine! The staff were welcoming and relaxed, which gave the place a chic feel. The hotel has beautiful grounds, with lots of parking, pretty outbuildings and a lovely walk around the gardens. They also grow their own produce and flowers. Our visit was short and it rained, but the hotel still felt bright and inviting. It’s around a 10-minute Uber ride from Warminster station, and about 40 minutes by car from Bath Spa and the city centre. The spa is still under construction, but it looks set to be a great addition. There are also two annex buildings that could work well for summer events, meetings or away days. Once the spa is finished, this place could be a real showstopper for its warmth, presence and style. A nice escape from the everyday bustle.

Ella at reception made us feel looked after as soon as we arrived, and the whole team were attentive and keen to help. We were there for my mum’s 80th birthday, and the staff went out of their way to make the occasion special. Our room was beautiful and the spa treatments were wonderful. Elise was an amazing therapist. The food was first class, especially the blue cheesecake dessert. We made some lovely memories and are very grateful to everyone. We’ll definitely come back.

The Garden Grill impressed us on both evenings, from the dishes to the excellent wine list. There’s also a well-equipped spa and pool with a range of treatments. Every staff member we met was friendly and professional, and did their best to make the stay memorable. We spent two nights at the Bishopstrow Hotel & Spa and would gladly recommend it. We were welcomed warmly and shown to a fabulous room with everything we needed. The hotel is beautifully presented, and the log fire makes the common areas feel cosy. For the overall quality, we thought it was very good value. We’ll be back.

The spa and pools were a big part of our family getaway, and we all made use of the facilities. We booked the Christmas package to spend time together and couldn’t recommend it more. The rooms were roomy and beautiful, with incredible bathrooms, and the whole place made us feel at home. Our hound was especially well looked after, with his own bed, stocking, gift box, bowls and towels. It’s countryside quiet without being too far from civilisation. An unbelievable experience, with amazing staff.
