The family room for two adults and one child was much bigger than I expected, and the manager explained everything we needed to know. Check-in at reception inside the pub was easy, and there were spaces in the small car park behind. We booked online because it was nearby after a day at Longleat Safari, with a trip to Center Parcs planned for the next morning. I’d never stayed in a Spoons hotel before, though I’d used the chain many times. I’d happily stay here again.

We had a decent, clean and spacious room for two overnight stops while travelling to Portsmouth. The bathroom was large, with a powerful walk-in shower. We were in the last room on the second floor, so didn’t hear other guests. The stairs and narrow corridors could be difficult for some people. The pub wasn’t one of the better Spoons I’ve visited. There weren’t many staff, and they could use some motivation. The seating was shabby and needed a deep clean. The car park is behind the pub, down a narrow passage. Although marked for hotel guests only, it was clearly being used by anyone. I wouldn’t choose to visit again.

We had a perfect 48 hours at The Bath Arms. It’s in a lovely rural spot near Longleat, and the service was warm and welcoming. The room and bed were comfortable, and the toiletries provided were lovely. Dinner was delicious in the cosy, beautiful surroundings. Breakfast was second to none, even compared with the five star hotel we’d stayed at in Liverpool the weekend before. Beautiful Frome is close enough to spend a day or two in, and the gin distillery is worth checking out. Thank you to all the staff!

This is our favourite hotel chain when we visit England. My 25 year old son loves it too. Prices are fair, the deals are great, and breakfast is brilliant.

My partner and I had a pleasant first night at the hotel. The next morning we decided to stay another night and booked online, after staff told us we could do that and get key cards for the next room once we handed in our current ones. The young manager who took over from the person on duty the previous night raised his voice at my partner and was condescending. When we asked him in the same tone to lower his voice, he refused and kicked us out. Some staff can be abusive to customers, as far as I’m concerned. It’s a shame, because the place is nice overall, but we won’t come back because of the way some staff behave.
