The Old Coffee Tavern

We had a beautiful room with high ceilings and were looked after from arrival until we left after two nights. Breakfast was just right: warm, fresh croissants and pain au chocolate, plus toast, fruit, yoghurt, cereal and juices. The staff were very friendly, including the lovely woman who cleaned the rooms. We’d definitely stay again.

For one night, our slightly small room was fine. The bathroom was lovely and clean, and it was nice to have a fridge. The nearest 24 hour car park was a bit of a trek, so it might not suit older guests as well. What really stood out was the staff. They were friendly and helpful with our dogs. The woman working in the morning was busy nonstop but still happily brought us some lovely cheese with our continental breakfast and helped with our bags. She’s a real credit to the hotel, as are the other staff.

Pheebs kept everything under control throughout our wedding weekend, which made us feel completely at ease. The Old Coffee Tavern was a beautiful, relaxed venue, and the day ran smoothly. Staff arrived early to put up the decorations. There was seating for all 80 guests, then it was moved aside for the DJ and dancefloor. The buffet was reasonably priced and delicious, especially the lamb curry, southern fried chicken and jasmine rice. Several guests later told us how much they’d enjoyed the food. Our room had a comfy bed, high ceilings and a lovely church view. The location was great, just a minute’s walk from the weekly market the next morning. Breakfast was a great cooked one with vegetarian and vegan options. We loved our reception and will be back for our anniversary.

I didn’t stay over, just came for dinner on Saturday evening, 11/10/2025. It was packed, so clearly popular, and the place itself is really nice. My haddock and chips cost £17.50 and were very good, especially with Inches Cider. The Old Coffee Tavern is right in the heart of Warwick and easy to find. It’s well worth a visit, and I’d guess the rooms are nice too. Great staff as well.
