Premier Inn Watford - Croxley Green

The quiet, comfortable fourth floor was really well kept, and I loved the stay. From arrival, the hotel felt clean, calm, and welcoming. Mr. Faisel Shaikh was especially kind, professional, and ready to help throughout, which made a big difference. A delightful visit to Premier Inn Watford Croxley Green. I’d happily recommend it to anyone coming to the area and hope to return.

We left early and skipped the second night. At checkout, the receptionist didn’t ask why we were leaving, which made it feel like this might happen often. The receptionist who had helped earlier was very kind and offered a free breakfast for the trouble, which we appreciated, but the stay was still a disappointment. The hotel is long overdue for refurbishment. If she hadn’t tried so hard to help, we wouldn’t have stayed even one night. Super disappointed. We’d booked two nights before visiting Harry Potter Studios, travelling with our 8-month-old baby. The first room was dirty: the bed wasn’t properly made, there were hairs in the bedding, and the bathroom smelled damp. We asked to move because we weren’t comfortable in an unclean room. The second room was worse, reeking of smoke, with cigarette ash between the window and the wall, showing it had been smoked in recently, as in the attached photo. After we complained again, we were moved a third time. It was better than the first two rooms, but still nowhere near a good standard.

I always recommend this hotel to people, and keep booking it whenever I’m in Watford. Every person working here has shown me a level of kindness and hospitality I haven’t experienced at any of the other hotels I’ve visited. They’re down to earth and happy to help, especially the reception crew. A whole floor of rooms has just been renovated, and they’re gorgeous, stylish, and very affordable. There’s a great pub and restaurant next door, and a big park, corner shops, and supermarkets within easy reach. I can’t fault it.

This is a personal favourite, and I’ve never had an issue here. The staff and hospitality are what make it such a good stay and help make the cost feel worthwhile. Faisal has helped me swiftly and smoothly many times. Spectacular service.
