My granddaughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it. We had a warm welcome, and the room was spacious, airy and very clean, with a comfortable warm bed and a perfect shower. The room beverages exceeded expectations. Parking was free. Breakfast had a good choice of cereal and continental items. There was no cooked breakfast available.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and there was a good selection of tea and coffee, with milk provided at check-in. The host was lovely and seemed to be doing everything herself. Breakfast had plenty of continental options, and the pier is only a few minutes away on foot. We’d stay again, but would ask for a room with a view and a shower, and not on the top floor. We hadn’t realised when booking that the place was part of the YMCA. That was fine until someone in the adjoining YMCA accommodation set off the alarm at 3:50am. Our room was upstairs and the lift was out of order, which was hard for both of us because we have arthritis. It had a bath but no shower, which was difficult for the same reason.

The hotel worked really well for me because I have limited mobility. It’s right across the road from the beach, and the main area and pier are a short walk away. Our room was lovely, clean, and comfortable, and breakfast had loads of continental choices. The receptionist was on her first day, but she was great and happy to help with anything. We stayed last night and will definitely be back.
