Rowan Tree House B&B

Phil and Dee are a lovely, friendly couple who were always ready with help or advice about local places to visit. Breakfast was generous and tasty, with a good choice of cereals, fruit and cooked food. The room was very clean and comfortable, with thoughtful touches, though it was a bit cosy for two. The bath towels were on the small side, and we had to close the window to block the road noise. Still, we had a nice stay.

The single room had everything I needed, with a lovely ensuite and everything very clean. I also enjoyed the view of Whitby Abbey from the bedroom window. We made use of the lounge in the evening to sit and chat. Breakfast was wonderful, and the hosts were friendly and very accommodating. It's very good value, and handy for both the moors and Whitby, as well as the surrounding towns and villages. Thanks for a great stay. I'd definitely come back to the area.

I stayed with Phil and Dee while on a cycling trip. They were incredibly friendly and accommodating with our gear. The rooms were impeccable and breakfast was fantastic. I'd book with them again without hesitation. Thanks.

The owners offered to drop us back to the route, though there's also a footpath through farmland that leads to Whitby and onwards. This lovely B&B is perfect for people walking the coast to coast. The rooms were immaculate, with a great shower and breakfast. Perfect, and highly recommended 👌
