I've stayed here a couple of times recently while working nearby and would recommend it without hesitation. Michael is a lovely, friendly and helpful host. The rooms are clean and very nice, and breakfast was great. Honestly, I can't fault the place.

The room was spotless and really comfortable, and the seaside is perfect for a stroll from this location. My partner and I had a wonderful weekend and couldn't have chosen a better spot. Michael welcomed us warmly when we arrived and was a fantastic host, friendly and full of useful information. We're looking forward to coming back and will definitely book again.

The phone service was shockingly bad. I called to ask someone in the F&B department whether the food service would be safe for my allergies. The man who answered asked, "why are you calling about this on a friday afternoon" and then hung up on me.

After a terrible Airbnb experience forced us to leave, Michael welcomed us warmly to York House Hotel, even though we'd only booked a few hours before arriving. It's a wonderful family-run place in a perfect location. The bed was remarkably comfortable, the room spotless, the hosts incredibly friendly, and breakfast delicious. We felt completely welcome and will come back whenever we get the chance. I can't fault our stay at York House Hotel. Just book it, don't wait!

It's a lovely place to stay, only a three-minute walk from the seafront. It's not cheap, but the comfortable night's sleep, nice room, great shower in the private bathroom and fabulous breakfast made it feel worth the price. Michael, our host, was so welcoming and even left a surprise complimentary bottle of fizz in the fridge for us when we arrived. We'd love to go back.
