The rooms really aren't great. The breakfast situation isn't clearly explained on the website, and the £12 breakfast boxes aren't worth paying extra for. They're just a few items that would cost £2.50 at best.

We only stayed one night. The hotel was okay, with shops nearby and a decent location. The staff seemed quite friendly, I think.

Jane really looked after us, and the staff were excellent, always checking that everything was okay. The rooms were decent, booking was easy and the location was excellent. We'd definitely stay again and would recommend the hotel to everyone. Thank you, Jane and the team at widnes travel Lodge.

For £60 a night, this felt like too much for a dated, grotty hotel. The room looked dirty, so I didn't want to shower, and the bed was lopsided.

My room faces a busy roundabout, so it's loud day and night, and the windows don't block the noise. The WiFi voucher was supposed to connect two devices, but only worked with one. Without it, you're limited to 30 minutes of WiFi a day. There are no power sockets by the bed, so charging your phone means leaving it across the room. Carpet is missing in the hallways, and the decor is run down inside and out. I guess I didn't book a Travelodge for quality, just budget.
