They set the tables up beautifully, and the staff were incredibly kind and attentive when we held my mum’s Wake here. They even arranged a memorial table with a lit candle for me to put Mum’s photos and memories on. The homemade food was the best we’ve ever experienced, with more than enough buffet food, plus endless tea and coffee. I’d seriously recommend this venue to anyone planning a function. Sunday lunch at the newly refurbished wheyrigg restaurant was amazing. The food was delicious and fresh, portions were a good size, and the Sunday roasts came with a nice choice of vegetables. Prices were reasonable, and all the staff were lovely and happy to help. We’ll definitely be back.

We hired the venue for a private event recently and couldn’t fault the service. The upgrades look amazing, and every area is looking wonderful. The food was all homemade and amazing, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Looking forward to coming back soon. Thank you.

Mum and I dropped in for lunch today without booking. We were seated and served quickly, and the Chicken Stack and Lasagna were both gorgeous. The portions were so big that we couldn’t finish them. There was work going on in the hotel, but it didn’t affect our visit at all. The staff and owners apologised in case it disrupted our meal, even though it hadn’t. Beautiful food and atmosphere, and now that they’re open all day, we’ll visit more often. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you so much 🤩

The hotel refurbishment is looking great, and well done to the new owners. We’ve just been for a meal, and both the food and service were fantastic. I can’t comment on the rooms because I haven’t stayed there.
