Strand House room number 2 was a lovely, cosy place for our two-night stay. The low ceilings, artwork, games and honesty bar gave it a quirky feel, just right for a weekend away. Breakfast was really nice too. Alex and Kelly were great hosts. Totally recommend it.

We stayed three nights, and it was a brilliant place, especially if you're travelling with a dog. Alex and Kelly were perfect hosts, with hearty, delicious breakfasts each morning and activity recommendations. The room was super cute, and we enjoyed getting cosy in the lounge.

The garden was lovely, the rooms cosy and quirky, and breakfast excellent. Alex and Kelly were wonderful hosts, and Strand House felt like a home away from home. We had an amazing trip and highly recommend staying here.

The old Tudor guest house is beautiful, and the hosts are lovely. I kept smacking my head on the beams, but the killer breakfast and how dog friendly it is made for a stay I loved. I'd come back in a heartbeat.

We came for two nights on Valentine’s Day and had a wonderfully romantic weekend. The house has plenty of history, is beautifully maintained, and has extremely comfortable beds. It felt like being in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Everything has the feel of a hotel in a cosy, intimate setting, so we felt at home. Kelly and Michael were kind, attentive hosts with a real sense of hospitality. They love dogs, don't charge extra for a little companion, and even offered him a sausage at breakfast. We drove, and it was only 3 minutes from Rye town centre and very close to the sea. A beautiful, charming place for a romantic getaway, with or without a dog, and a delicious à la carte breakfast.
