Rams Head Inn

The staff made us feel right at home, including our 11-month-old and our lab. They even put together a little roast and dessert for the baby, plus a small plate of meat for the dog. We came to Rams Head for a roast, and dinner was delicious. We’ll definitely be back. Thanks from the family with the fangy baby!

Their restaurant was busy, but the staff went out of their way to book us a table elsewhere. We’ve had a lovely stay, and everyone’s been really helpful. We also shared a home-baked French baguette as a snack, and it was absolutely superb.

We had a great meal and the service was fantastic. They were lovely with our young children and served them sausages and chips from the menu. Highly recommend!

The place is dog-friendly, the food came out reasonably quickly and was nice, and the playlist was great. But on my last two visits, the woman behind the bar serving tables was pretty abrupt and didn’t make us feel welcome. I let it slide the first time, then found it clearly wasn’t a one-off. It spoiled an otherwise nice atmosphere. I’m a local and a fairly regular customer, so it’s disappointing and a bit embarrassing since we’d brought friends who were visiting.
