Cherry Tree Pub

After the long trip to Suffolk, The Cherry Tree was just what we needed, and then some. We had plenty of tasty food, joined the pub quiz after being invited on the spur of the moment, and had a lot of fun. We visited on a Thursday, when I think the quiz is usually held each week. The traditional interior and friendly feel made it a lovely pub to spend time in. Ryan, I think that was his name, was especially welcoming at the bar. He clearly cares about making customers happy, recommended some great beers, and was patient and generous with what he knows. Nothing seemed too much trouble. We left happy, refreshed and well fed, and I’d highly recommend a visit.

The fire made it especially cosy, and we were lucky to get a table near it. The pub was nicely decorated for Christmas, and the other diners helped make it feel welcoming. I came for a late lunch with my husband and two friends two days after Christmas. It was my first visit, on my friends’ suggestion. The place was very busy, so service took a little while, but the staff stayed helpful and polite and handled the crowd well.

Been a few times now and the service has always been great. Nice pub in Woodbridge for lunch or dinner, with a decent choice of pub food, good beers and fair prices. The food comes out promptly too.

Only stayed a couple of nights, but it was a great experience. Really nice room, lovely staff and fabulous beer 🍺 😀. The food was excellent too, especially the Sunday roast.
