We only stopped in for a drink, but the charismatic bartender soon had us tempted by some delicious food. Sam, if I remember right, was lovely, polite and great to chat with. The staff made my family and me feel welcome even though we were new to the area. Friendly, helpful service. Would absolutely recommend, 10/10.

The breakfast was the best quality we’ve ever had, and the smoked salmon on the salmon rosed was a lovely extra touch. Ella served us with such a gentle, polite manner. I only wish we’d tried dinner too. The hotel manager showed us to our rooms, explained everything and reassured us that help was available around the clock. Joshua, you made our stay worthwhile. The staff were amazing, and we’ll be back soon.

Breakfast was amazing. I ordered scrambled egg on sourdough with smoked salmon, and the menu really should have said “loads of smoked salmon”! The room was warm, cosy and comfortable, and we didn’t hear a sound at night or at any other time, despite overlooking the High Street and the rear of the pub. We stayed the weekend of 23-24 January and received a warm welcome. There was plenty of parking, and it was free. We didn’t eat other meals there, though what I saw looked really nice. We’ll definitely return.

The staff were great, and the town is lovely to look around. I’d thoroughly recommend the river walk. Nice hotel in a lovely location, and we had a good stay overall. Just remember to register your car in the car park. I did find it a little expensive for what it is.

The friendly service really made the evening more enjoyable, with quick, helpful attention and smiles all round. The food was lovely and the cocktails even better. We visited on Saturday for a friend’s 40th birthday, and we’ll definitely be back for another celebration. Thanks, Kelly!
