We only stayed one night, but the kindness of the night shift gentleman on 27 November 2025 has already made us want to book here whenever we’re in the area. He wore glasses, though sadly we didn’t get his name. My husband had just lost his mam that night, and we were both devastated. He’d forgotten to register our car, so the gentleman helped us sort it out and offered his condolences. He was welcoming from the moment we arrived, kept greeting us with a genuine smile, and went out of his way to make sure we were looked after.

A quiet place to stay for a very good price, and The Beeches next door has good food. The room was clean and comfortable, and perfectly fine for a night away. It’s not high-end luxury, but that’s not what it’s trying to be. Just right for what you need.

Had a horrible stay. Our room key was given to someone else, the air con didn’t work, and the only water we could get was £3 from the vending machine. We were also turned away from breakfast with a child, even though we’d been told it wasn’t busy and not to worry about booking ahead. We were told to order Just Eat instead. There were plenty of other problems too. I’d avoid this place and the Brewers Fayre.

I’m blind and so is my partner Ibrahim, and we found getting around the hotel and pub really easy. It’s a small Premier Inn, our room was on the first floor just up the stairs and along the corridor, and we could make our way across the car park to The Beeches, find the bar, and get back again. If we got disoriented, staff were happy to guide us, but we soon knew our way around and could be independent. The people at both the hotel and pub were so welcoming and did a lot to make our four-night break enjoyable. The cooked breakfasts on Monday and Tuesday were amazing, as was the rest of the food and drink. The pub staff were especially helpful at the breakfast buffet, asking what we wanted to eat and drink and serving it so everything was accessible. Our room was spacious, very clean, comfortable and luxurious. It sometimes got warm at night. There was an AC unit on the wall but it didn’t seem to work; luckily, we had a good powerful fan and tea and coffee facilities. The Beeches is just across the road from the Premier Inn, and I already go there regularly for Sunday roast with my family. It’s also only a few miles from where I live in Wrexham. Ibrahim came up from London to stay with me, and it was his first time at the hotel. We checked in Friday 19th and left Tuesday 23rd of this month. My parents joined us at The Beeches for Sunday lunch too, and we all loved it. Ibs got to have a roast dinner with my family for the first time. Thanks to everyone at the pub and Premier Inn for all their help. It was an unforgettable weekend, and I hope to come back soon. Love from Marla and Ibrahim.

We picked this hotel because it was near where we needed to be. The restaurant, rooms and hallways were clean and smart, and the food was tasty and nicely presented. As usual at a Premier Inn, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and quick to deal with any problems.
