Number 10 The Abbey

The room was just right for us, and the woman at reception was so friendly and helpful. We couldn’t have asked for more assistance. There are only four parking spaces, and road parking is only available after 6pm. We were lucky enough to get one of the four spaces, which was helpful. A great place to stay.

The Abbey is in lovely surroundings, close to the gorgeous Norfolk countryside, with pubs, restaurants, and takeaways all an easy walk away. I stayed there Monday to Friday for seven months while working in Norfolk, and had a great time. Issues came up now and then, mostly because of inconsiderate guests, but Kelly and Tracey always responded to feedback quickly and dealt with things decisively. I’d unreservedly recommend it to other business travellers.

Tracey is always happy to help, and the customer service is consistently great. The rooms are clean and have all the facilities you could want. I’ve had an excellent experience on every stay at number10.

The whole experience was stressful and disappointing. The property ignored my complaint and gave no help or follow-up after I reported that a shower tile had come loose. That was a safety hazard and completely unacceptable. The place also had not been properly cleaned when I arrived. I escalated the matter through Booking.com because the property did not respond, but I’ve been told I can’t get the refund I’m entitled to while they continue to ignore communications. I strongly advise other travellers to avoid this property. The cleanliness, safety issue, and disregard for guests’ concerns were unacceptable.
