The Old Mill

The room and bathroom were immaculate, and picking up and dropping off the key was easy and convenient. We were in Uarm for a night out with friends, and the lovely room and beautiful setting made this a nice place to stay. The hot tub was available at the end of the block and easy to get to, but I decided not to use it because it was too cold. I’d definitely come back and recommend it to friends and family.

The Barn Room looked good, but the maintenance and service let the place down. The lights flickered and the TV remote was broken. We were told to keep the faulty lights switched off, and Netflix wasn’t usable on the TV. Although the room is advertised for up to 4 people, it’s really only large enough for 2. Hot tubs are only in certain rooms, so check before booking. Housekeeping was inconsistent too. You have to be very specific about what you want done, and the beds weren’t remade. There’s potential here, but it needs better upkeep and service.

I spent the weekend here with friends for my birthday and would definitely recommend it. The staff were all helpful and welcoming, and our rooms were clean. It’s a quiet, relaxed location. I’d happily stay again.

The apartments were clean and I liked the location and surrounding area, but the lack of sound insulation made the stay terrible. I could hear the neighbour burping, sneezing, whispering, singing, and doing other private things I didn’t want to hear. In the morning I heard a cat, and every movement in the apartments around us, including above. I couldn’t sleep until 2am, and all I wanted was to get some rest.
