The hot tub was the main thing we ended up using, but it was too small for two adults. The micro lodge had a bed and cooking facilities, so it covered the basics, though the hard beds made for an uncomfortable night and the sofa felt broken and was no good to sit on. The fire alarm also sounded whenever we opened the oven. We booked two nights. With some work on the inside, this could have been a cosy place for a break, but as it stood it was uncomfortable. Fine for one night, since it has what you need to get by, but I wouldn’t call it the best.

The site itself is lovely, and the lodges could be great, but the cleaning and upkeep really let them down. The shower was filthy, the freezer door came off, and the microwave was rusty. The sofa bed was so bad you couldn’t even sit on it, and the bed looked hastily put together with dirty marks on the bedding. The hygiene needs to improve before I’d stay here.

The lodge has everything needed, and the hot tub is a lovely extra. I came back for a second visit with just my dog and me, as this little park is so quiet and relaxing. Marske beach is only a short drive away and great to visit.

We left before our booking was over and went home. The place was vile, covered in dog hair and grime, and the hot tub smelled like sewage. I was glad I’d brought my own kitchen things. I complained to Hoseasons.

The warden, Gary, was helpful and let us relax in peace, while still being around when we needed him. This was our second visit, and it was even better than the first. The accommodation was fantastic, and the huge hot tub was so relaxing. I could happily move in. I’d recommend it to anyone after a quiet, restful break.
