The Bugle Coaching Inn

The staff were friendly, efficient and very accommodating during our short stay in central Yarmouth. We had a really nice dinner in the evening in the bar, which is full of memorabilia. Our room was beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable.

The steak and ale pie was fantastic and genuinely home-cooked. Check-in happened at the bar, where the very friendly staff were also helpful. It’s a lovely updated former coaching inn, now a pub with excellent food, plenty of seating and little nooks for quieter chats. There’s a small residents’ lounge too, probably especially desirable in summer, when I’m sure the Bugle Inn gets packed. During my stay, it seemed to be used by locals and visitors alike.

Breakfast had plenty of choice and was really good, and the cosy rooms worked perfectly for our extended family Christmas gathering over four days. We stayed in two rooms, one of them dog friendly. Sarah and the team were friendly, engaging and attentive to all our needs. They were exceptional, and it all made for a fabulous Christmas.

The location and rooms are excellent, and it’s a rather perfect hotel/inn. But breakfast needs some extras. They have a strict no fried bread policy, which isn’t what I expect when I ask for it, especially at the price you pay. That one thing is disgusting. Extreme shame.
