The staff couldn't do enough for us, and they marked my wife's birthday with a lovely touch, some chocolates. Our room was perfect, the location spot on, and the price felt just right. We had dinner in the restaurant on our first night, and the food was excellent. We were looking forward to breakfast after that, and it didn't disappoint either. We had a wonderful stay and can't recommend it highly enough. If you're looking for somewhere to stay in York, book here. Even if you're not staying, the food and drinks are worth a visit.

This little lodge is homely and comfortable, right in central York, so everything is just minutes away. The service couldn't have been better, and the staff were lovely, especially David. After I told them I'd been proposed to that weekend, they congratulated us and brought over a cute dessert board.

We're here for our first anniversary, and we really love this hotel. The owners clearly care about their guests, and the staff have been so accommodating. Breakfast was amazing, and they welcome dogs as warmly as people. After a long journey, our black lab appreciated the dog bed, bowl, and treats in the room. The bed is incredibly comfortable too. The room's a little cold, but a heater sorts that out. I've never been ti york before, but we'd really like to come back and make this an annual trip.

We had another fabulous weekend here. My husband and I have stayed twice now, and both times were wonderful. Staff leave you to yourself, but they're there when you need help. This time we got into our room two hours early, which was a bonus. It was beautiful, clean, and cozy. The hotel is right in the middle of york, so we could do our Christmas shopping and bring everything back to the room instead of carrying bags around. We'll definitely book again next Christmas.
