The staff made this stay especially memorable. From arrival to the end, we felt welcome and very spoilt, and the service was excellent, with nothing too much trouble. St Mary’s Guest House is on a quiet residential street, a short walk from York city centre. Our room was just the right size, the bed was so comfy, and breakfast was lovely before a day of sightseeing. Having the option to purchase a safe parking space was a huge bonus. We'll definitely book St Mary’s again on our next visit.

Caroline and Abi were fantastic hosts, taking time to chat with everyone. We had a lovely stay at St Mary's guest house, and would stay there again. The room was quiet and had everything we needed, including an en suite and tea and coffee facilities. Breakfast was lovely, with plenty of choice. It's a very short walk into the centre, where there's lots to do.

The staff were the highlight. They were all lovely and made me feel at home with the warmest welcome I've ever had. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated, and it was only a few minutes from the city centre. I was initially a little worried because my room was right behind reception and the house was near the railway, but it was very quiet and I had no trouble falling asleep.

We had everything we needed, and the guesthouse was clean and quiet all night. The heating was adjustable if we got chilly, and the instructions sent before arrival were easy to follow. Breakfast was superb: orange juice was already on the table, with tea or coffee to choose from. The guesthouse is just above the train station, and the short walk into the city centre is delightful. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in York.

The room was small, but had everything I needed, and it was well appointed with daily attention. The staff were friendly and cheerful, and breakfast was great. Once you find the footbridge by the railway, the accommodation is an easy walk from the station, and the footpaths make getting into the city simple. I'd love to stay here again.
