Yorkway Motel

The staff were wonderful, especially Loraine (with one L) and Michelle. I first booked Yorkway Motel for a metal detecting event, but the event was cancelled, so I kept the booking to visit York. The hotel is fantastic and maintained to a very high standard. The barman recommended taking the park-and-ride into York, and that turned out to be a great idea. My room and bathroom were spotlessly clean, finished to a very high standard, and serviced daily. The owner Michael is pleasant and runs a very tight ship. I can’t rate the place highly enough. It’s absolutely wonderful, and I plan to visit next year if the event is rescheduled.

The chalets are brilliant: spotless, warm, and cosy, and you can come and go as you please. The staff were so kind, friendly, and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. Everything was spotlessly clean, warm, and modern. Breakfast was lovely, with plenty to eat, including cereals and juice. Thank you for everything. We’ll definitely return. It’s a little gem of a motel, five stars plus in our eyes, and we’d highly recommend it.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was good and piping hot. I stayed two nights, and the room was spotless and comfortable. Would stay again.

The evening meal was spot on, really nice, and reasonably priced. For a one or two night stay, a clean room, decent shower, reliable WiFi, and good food are all I need, and this place has them. I was here for one night on business. The room was smart and clean, with WiFi that worked perfectly and a fantastic walk-in shower, good pressure, and hot water almost straight away. I’ll stay again when I’m in the area.
