I was in town for a memorial service to say goodbye to a loved one, not for work or vacation. Since I was recovering from back surgery and couldn’t walk far, they gave me a first floor room at the front, where I needed it. The room was clean, and every staff member we met was nice. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Maryland.

There were cigarette burns and blood stains on the sheets, and with only one housekeeper cleaning the whole building, I can only imagine how clean the room really was. I complained to the manager, but he didn’t seem to care, just wanted to collect his money. This motel is infested with roaches that climb into bed with you. The walls are paper thin, so dogs bark all night, despite the signs saying they aren’t allowed. The front desk lady BRANDI has a terrible attitude and seems miserable. Maybe it’s because she lives at the hotel, or because at her big age, 50, she’s dating a man who still lives with his mother? Either way, that’s no excuse to be rude to people.

My boyfriend and I live pretty far from each other, so when we can, we spend weekends at a hotel between our homes. We used to try different places, but we’ve settled on the Days Inn and don’t plan to go anywhere else. The rooms are clean, and I’m terrified of bugs, but haven’t seen a single one. There’s space for my German Shepherd and Doberman to go potty, plus plenty of bags and dumpsters for the poop. Some hotels don’t even have dumpsters. Our dogs love meeting people and getting petted, and the staff are so sweet with them. I adore Brandy, and so does my boyfriend. She’s funny and sweet. I spoke with her on the phone before our first stay, and her kindness is honestly why I booked. We’ve gone four weeks ago, two weeks ago, and are going again this weekend. We’ll keep coming every weekend or every other weekend, when we get to see each other and our little family can reunite. He misses his little girls, the dogs, more than me, I think, lol, just kidding. The shopping center across the street has everything we need.

The room smelled of old cigarettes and weed, despite this being called a “non” smoking hotel, and the sheets had several cigarette burns. There’s brown snow around because people let their dogs pee in it, and the hotel didn’t shovel. Signs say dogs AREN’T allowed, but several people are staying there with dogs, so be prepared for a room that just had a dog in it. I also witnessed the front desk lady BRANDI creeping out of GUESTS rooms late at night. The place is disgusting and infested with roaches. STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK.

I honestly sleep better here than anywhere else, the best sleep I’ve had in 10 years! Breakfast was there as usual when I got to the lobby around 8:43 am. Yogi, the likeable clerk, was behind the desk and greeted me with his usual concern about how my stay was. I booked over the phone with Brandy. I’ll be back in town eventually.
