Antilley Inn

I wouldn't stay here again. I got bitten by a lot of bed bugs, and after I complained they moved me to another room, where I found more. They denied having bed bugs even after I showed them all the bites, and acted like we had brought them in ourselves. They seemed offended by the complaint. This place needs to be condemned.

I liked being able to park right outside my room, especially with luggage. The room was clean, neat, comfortable, and bug free, and it had a microwave and refrigerator that let me make simple meals. The only thing I’d suggest is a better continental breakfast selection. This is an old school 50s mom-and-pop motel with friendly people and personal service. I stayed several nights after traveling across the country for my son’s Air Force retirement. The room was as comfortable as some pricey hotels I’d stayed in, and much better than one that charged me $279 for a plastic-covered mattress. I’ll definitely stay at Antilley Inn again when I’m back in the area.

It was clean and quiet, and getting around town from here was easy. The hotel is older and still uses actual keys for the rooms. Breakfast had limited choices, though, and a simple waffle would have been nice. I had a great stay.

The grass was the best part for me, green and free of those stickers, which mattered since I had service dogs. Turning the pool into a garden was smart, too. At check-in my wife had to keep ringing the bell before the front desk lady noticed her, and when she came out she wasn’t very hospitable. Our room smelled odd and felt dated, though I think they may be remodeling. Still, the stay was pleasant.
