I’ve even come back here for dinner while staying at another hotel, which says a lot about how consistently good the food is. The cooks put care into every dish, and it’s prepared and served really well. When I’m in town, I usually choose to eat here instead of going out somewhere else. The night staff add a lot to the experience too. They’re welcoming and professional, happy to chat, and offer thoughtful ideas for things to do nearby. After a long day, that personal touch makes the place feel relaxed and comfortable. Great food and genuine hospitality together are hard to beat. If you’re in town, this is where you want to have dinner.

The staff made my month-long stay wonderful. Justin, Jane, and Ben at the front desk, Tabitha, Tessie, and Josh in the kitchen, Megan in housekeeping, and Kim at the bar were all fantastic. I don’t know if I’ll get the chance to return, but if I do, I’ll definitely ask to stay there again. Thanks, everyone. Y’all are awesome! I’m just an old-school country guy who wants to be treated like a normal human, and they did exactly that. I’m sure they can treat you like a big business guy or gal if that’s what you want, too. The rooms were great, and the comfortable beds mattered a lot while I was away from home.

The hotel’s renovation turned out really well. Refreshes can be subpar at other places, but this one impressed me. Service was great, and the location is convenient.

The next morning, a woman at the front desk acknowledged what had happened, said her feelings were valid, and apologized for the poor treatment the night before. That was the one redeeming part of the stay. My girlfriend had checked in after a long workday, exhausted and hoping to relax. Instead, her room had construction workers right outside the window. She was alone in a small rural town four hours from home, knew nobody there, and felt extremely uncomfortable. When she asked the front desk if she could move, the male employee questioned why men outside her window bothered her. He dismissed her concern, saying they’d probably finish soon and the hotel was full, so nothing could be done. He showed no empathy and made her feel her concern didn’t matter. The workers stayed until sundown, leaving her uneasy and feeling unsafe in the room. She’s 5’0”, 120 lbs, and was alone somewhere unfamiliar. Her feelings were valid, but she was made to feel she was overreacting. I had to talk her down on the phone while she wondered if she was wrong to feel that way. If you’re a woman traveling alone, I’d think seriously before staying here. No guest should be made to feel dismissed or unsafe like this.

My first stay here, and I’ve already stayed at seven other Garden Inns around the country this year. This one is really nice. The burger and fries last night were spot on, and breakfast was hot and fresh. The two women serving and cooking this morning were right on top of things. Real Texas hospitality. The hotel was quiet, and the front desk staff were helpful, friendly, and engaging when they greeted me.
