Baymont by Wyndham Addison

We stayed here two nights in a row after American Airlines canceled our flight on both nights. The rooms were only average for cleanliness. On the second night, we found quite a bit of trash under the bed. The first night there was no soap in the shower. Everything is old and outdated, including signs for smoking and non-smoking sections. We arrived at 1:30 a.m. the second night and were woken at 2:30 by a call from the front desk. The employee said our American Airlines voucher had expired and we had to leave immediately. She also said we couldn't wait in the lobby. My wife is pregnant, and it was 20 degrees with snow outside. Skip this hotel and spend a little more elsewhere. If the airline gives you a voucher, beg them to send you somewhere else.

The staff at the front desk, in cleaning, and in maintenance are kind and efficient. Our rooms are clean, and they always make sure we have fresh towels, sheets, and tissues. The heater, AC, shower, sinks, toilet, TV, and lights all work well. I like the kitchenette, with room for necessities, and the desk is handy for paperwork and calls. There's also a closet with doors for clothes, an ironing board, and a working hair dryer. The big bed has a thick blanket and fresh sheets. I like the curtains too: they let in plenty of light when open and make the room dark and private when closed. The hotel has washers and dryers, a fitness center, free coffee and breakfast, and soda and snack machines. There's a fridge and microwave if you want to bring food and keep drinks cold. This place is awesome, and I appreciate the friendly staff. I'd definitely recommend it.

I used to park here regularly, but won't anymore. I left my car for a month and came back to find it had been hit. The driver left a note with only a phone number, a name, and an initial, which wasn't enough information. I asked the hotel for more, but they wouldn't provide it. I called several times to ask them to save the camera footage. Each time the front desk said the manager would call me, and it never happened. I recorded those conversations. The damage to my car is $8,300, and the hotel seems unconcerned. I found out the driver was uninsured. I was told they were basically homeless, and that the hotel had kindly offered them housing at discounted rates. Be careful if you plan to park or stay here, since you may be sharing the place with people who are homeless.

The front desk staff were especially polite and helpful, making check-in and the rest of my stay very smooth. The room was comfortable and well maintained. I had a very pleasant visit and would definitely recommend this hotel.
