Embassy Suites by Hilton Charlotte Concord Golf Resort & Spa

Our room was clean and looked almost new, and we really liked the morning breakfast. The staff were very nice, and the location is great. Just make sure you pull the door shut when you enter or leave, because it didn’t close all the way on its own.

The food at the event was a real highlight. The buffet meals were better than expected, and the steak was surprisingly tender and delicious. Staff serving everything were attentive and polished. I attended Atlantic Coast Electric Supply’s Circle of Distinction Awards Ceremony and G.R.I.D. Trade Show at the Concord Convention Center and Embassy Suites by Hilton Concord. The renovated conference rooms felt spacious, modern, and comfortable, with a large garage door that made vendor setup seem easy. Fresh carpet and paint were noticeable, too. The Embassy Suites lobby was welcoming and comfortable, and the updated guest rooms looked beautiful as renovations continued. Things felt organized despite some issues: daytime construction noise, loose elevator panels, limited service in certain areas, and less parking than usual. I assume the work is meant to improve the hotel for guests. I’m looking forward to coming back next year when the pool and final room updates are finished. Thanks to the venue and to ACES for a memorable event.

The breakfast is the best part, and the evening reception is pretty okay. The location is convenient, with restaurants, a mall, and grocery stores within a mile or two. Staff have always been nice, and the lobby looks really good. This was my second visit to the Embassy in the past year. I wasn’t sure I’d come back after my first stay, but I’m glad I did. We got a newer renovated room this time, much better than the dated one that smelled before. Construction made things a little noisy. I do miss the hot tub from years ago, but I enjoyed this stay much more and plan to return. Can’t wait to see the whole hotel renovated.

The indoor pool is freezing. They may have the AC set to heat, but the water is very, very cold, despite the claim that it’s heated. We stayed at a wonderful Marriott nearby with a properly warm pool. Construction here is incredibly loud, like getting a root canal in your room. Even after they moved us, it was worse. Stay away if you want peace and quiet.
