Quality Inn & Suites Aiken East

The bed was comfortable, but there was a dead roach in the tub when we arrived. After we went out the next day, I came back to shower and saw a live roach walking in the tub. The next morning I said good morning to the woman at the desk while getting coffee. She was watching videos on her phone, looked up, and didn’t answer. I won’t be back.

I’ve stayed here several times for business. It’s quiet, the room is clean, and downtown Aiken is nearby. It isn’t fancy, but it’s a hidden gem with what you need close at hand.

The staff were friendly and cooperative, and the rooms were clean. The sink and toilet, though, were broken or had been repaired. Cigarette smoke smell was all through the room, so be careful if you have asthma. Breakfast is very limited, so bring your own food. On Saturday and Sunday there were no fruit, eggs, or sausage. The pool wasn’t clean, and flies and mosquitoes were around the grounds.

We left after the first night, even though we had booked two, but they refunded only one night. The photos don’t show how awful the hotel was. There was rust everywhere, the AC didn’t work, and the ceiling had spiderwebs all over it. It smelled moldy, and my boyfriend stepped on a rusty hook. After looking closely around the room and calling my parents, we decided to go to reception and leave.
