Comfort Inn & Suites South Akron

They let me check in early, and the room was clean and really nice. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The tub runs a bit short, but it works. I haven't tried the pool yet, but it looks very nice and I'm excited to swim. There's no hot tub or sauna, though there is a workout room. I'd highly suggest staying here.

Breakfast was great, the place was quiet and peaceful, and the pool was clean. Our daughter had a blast, and I'm satisfied with the stay overall. The heater in the room was loud, and check-in had a rough start: the front desk worker was on an “extended break,” so I waited nearly half an hour. They wouldn't accept my debit card because it wasn't from a “major bank,” though my parents were able to help when they arrived. While waiting, I went into the bathroom and saw that same worker smoking a cigarette in there. It smelled stale and smoky. Luckily neither my child nor I has severe asthma. I didn't make a scene or get her name, but this should be addressed, as I'm sure it goes against the employee handbook. Even with that mishap and the noisy heater, I'm satisfied and will return. After a previous stay at a different hotel, I'd recommend this one over it, 10/10.

The hotel was super clean, and breakfast was excellent. The cook took pride in the food she made for guests. The front desk assistant was so friendly and went above and beyond. This is the first hotel that's called before a reservation to ask whether we had any special requests for the room.

A+ stay. The bed and pillows were really comfortable, the rooms and breakfast area exceptionally clean, and breakfast was fresh and delicious. Everyone on staff was friendly.
