Radisson Hotel Akron/Fairlawn

The whole hotel had a strong, unpleasant smell, and the sheets looked used and not properly changed. The room felt unsanitary and uncomfortable. The room we were first given even had a plumber working inside, which was inconvenient and unprofessional. We booked mainly for the pool, then found out on arrival that it was permanently closed, something that hadn’t been disclosed beforehand. The experience was nothing like the online listing. It was frustrating, with poor cleanliness and no proper preparation for guests. I wouldn’t recommend staying unless they make major improvements.

We left after only 30 minutes because we were so unhappy, and didn’t get any refund. I wish I could give half a star. The room was filthy even though we’d paid for early check-in. We still had to leave our things outside while they cleaned it. They didn’t tell us the pool was closed, the roof was leaking, and after they said the room was cleaned, I found a pube on the bed. I’ve never been so disgusted.

A horrible place to stay. The room was dirty, the shower and curtains had dirt all over them, and I found tobacco on one of the hard beds. One of the rooms I was given had a chair sitting in the middle of the floor. My key also failed several times.

After a long day of driving, my husband, toddler, and I were hoping for a comfortable night. Instead, the room was dingy, dirty, smelly, musty, and outdated. We’d booked a king bed, but it had just one pillow. When I called down, they gave us what they had, tiny flat pillows that weren’t the usual kind. I went to bathe my almost two-year-old and found a grimy tub with dried fluids on the ledge and filthy anti-slip flooring. There were dried pee drips on the floor by the toilet. A random piece of metal was lying on the closet floor, as in the picture. The microwave wasn’t plugged in and was nowhere near an outlet, so I had to carry it across the room to plug it in. The chairs were filthy and stained, as were the curtains, carpet, and other fabric surfaces. There are plenty of other hotels nearby, and I’d absolutely never recommend this one. Please do better for people spending their hard-earned money expecting a clean, comfortable place to rest.
