The only things this hotel has going for it are friendly staff and being close to downtown Akron. The AC was broken, leaving the lobby and hallways so hot that you’d sweat just walking to or from your room. My room was very old, with dust on top of the dressers, windows, nightstand, and headboard. The TV was in such bad shape and had such poor picture quality that I turned it back off.

There were no bed bugs, which is about the best I can say. The inside looked like something out of a zombie movie. Rust, or something else, came out of the bathroom faucet, the carpet was stained and dirty, and there was no AC anywhere in the building.

We came downtown to Akron to celebrate LeBron James at Lock 3 and stayed overnight. The room was decent, but there wasn’t much to write home about. The toilet was really loud, and I had to jiggle the handle to make the water stop running. The bed wasn’t very comfortable, and I couldn’t settle in with the feather pillows. It had a Sleep Number control, but it didn’t work.

The room was twice as hot as the already ridiculous lobby. The shower insert looked dirty, like it had been rolled in dirt, and the water turned brown at times. The TV kept cutting in and out, too. I wouldn’t stay here again.

The hallway had a strange smell, though the room itself was decent. The king bed had lots of pillows and was comfortable, but nothing special. Garage parking was a nice bonus.
