Staying here feels like stepping back in time, and I find it so relaxing. I love the comfy chair in the room and the rocking chairs on the balcony. Catching a plane taking off or landing is a bonus. I won’t stay anywhere else in Fredericksburg.
The WWII decor is so much fun, and it’s great watching the aircraft come and go. Rooms are nice, though the lighting is dim. Some days the diner isn’t open for breakfast and only opens for lunch, but the downstairs coffee bar always has scones. Love the Hangar Htel.
I only used the confidence center and didn’t stay overnight, but the hotel looked clean from outside. The airport hanger theme was a nice touch. The conference room seemed like it would work well for large gatherings.
Watching planes from the porch was our favorite part of the weekend at the Hangar. We also enjoyed having morning coffee and pastries in the lobby. We loved our stay!
I love the theme here and would happily stay all the time. At $240 a night, though, there should be a fridge in the room, or at least a vending machine with cold drinks. There wasn’t even cold water for sale, and I wake up needing to take medication and want cold water, not room temperature. That’s my only complaint, but it’s a big one. It won’t stop me coming back, though I’ll keep writing a review about the lack of a fridge or cold vending every time. This place would be perfect with either one. A vending machine wouldn’t cost them anything to install, and they’d make money from it. They don’t sell the things a vending machine would, so why not?
