Albany Plaza Hotel

I canceled my booking after calling to ask whether the cleanliness concerns in several one-star reviews were being addressed. I'd already reserved a room and wanted a clearer picture, so I contacted the front desk instead of relying only on online reviews. Reema answered. I explained my concerns respectfully, but she said she wasn't a guest, didn't stay in the rooms, and therefore “cannot vouch for anything.” The response felt dismissive and rude. I wasn't asking for a guarantee, just a courteous, professional answer. That call left me with a bad impression. Customer service matters when people are trying to make an informed choice.

I had already paid for the room and called to say I was working until 1 a.m. and would arrive late. They still wouldn't let me check in after the audit and marked me as a no-show. A normal person would let someone use the room and check out late.

My man and I live in different countries, and he booked four days at this motel. I wish he hadn't. There's no network connection, so he has to go downstairs or sit in his car to communicate, and all his work is online. I just hope those four days pass quickly because ........

Horrible experience. They wouldn't check me in because I had a debit card, kept my money, and gave no refund. They say it's hotel policy. Thieves, desperate for money.
