Budget Inn Albany

The front desk woman was super cool, and I should've bought a few of the cheap charging cables they sell. The layout is unusual, a crescent-shaped two-story building with a courtyard that feels prison-like, where people smoke, drink, and barbecue. It seems set up more for long stays. Navy sheets mean nothing gets bleached, there were burns in the carpet, and the walls are cement brick. The rooms weren't very quiet, and those double sliding glass doors probably don't help. Some guests were fine, but one man yelled and talked loudly all night, and a woman loudly discussed things that were really inappropriate to overhear. Parking is first come, first served.

The mattress springs were noticeable, and the blanket was really thin. The heater didn't work well either 🥶

I stayed for two weeks and kept getting daily complaints about my room, though I had no idea what the issue was. My wife was at work while I walked the dog. One morning I woke up and heard the woman next door outside on a bench, on the phone, saying I was CURRENTLY causing noise disturbances. It was one of the craziest things I've seen. She called the police, and my wife, dog, and I were kicked out right away. We didn't get the deposit back. Nobody else came out of their rooms except to walk a dog in that hot, prison-like courtyard. I was just waiting to leave Oregon, and I'm so damn glad I did.

An unusual building, but the room was simple, clean, and comfortable. Slept well. Thanks.
