Lake Minneola Inn

I’m not sure I’d enjoy staying at the Inn itself, but the waterside tiki bar behind it was a nice place for a sunset drink and an appetizer. The food is cheap and only okay. We liked the fries, though the wings felt overpriced. The drinks use pretty poor ingredients, but the White Peach Sangria and beers on tap were drinkable.

This was our second stay, and the lake setting is beautiful. The property looks well maintained, staff were very helpful, and there’s plenty of parking. We didn’t try the Tiki Bar. The room was warmer than we like, and we couldn’t control the temperature in the room. The door was swollen and stuck, which I understand can happen in this climate, but older couples and small children could have trouble opening and closing it. That kept this from being five stars.

The old Inn character, grounds, and tiki bar made this a lovely stay. The pub food and drinks were very good, and the sunset view was the best. The location is right on the lake and close to downtown. Staff were kind and friendly, and our room was spotless and beautifully appointed. It’s the little details, and they nailed them.

The Tiki Bar has a great atmosphere and good service. Their chargrilled burgers are amazing, and the new totchos are a great menu addition. The homemade dressings and dipping sauces are excellent too. I noticed they’ve added cocktails to the menu, so we’ll try those next time.
