Sunrise Inn By OYO Albany

Raj went out of his way to make the stay comfortable and peaceful, and Crystal, the cool, goofy housekeeper, made sure we had what we needed and kept things pretty clean. We ended up having the warmest welcome and nicest hotel stay I've had. Thanks for everything! I'd read the crappy reviews and wasn't sure I'd let my wife and two little kids stay even 10 minutes, let alone overnight. We decided to check it out ourselves, and I'm glad we did. It wasn't the scary place I'd imagined or horrible at all.

My friend found dirt stains around the tub when she checked into Sunrise Inn, and bed bugs in the mattress. She said laundry was brought over from Luxury Inn, which she described as infested with bed bugs. The new housekeeper also said sheets and beds had blood stains and weren't being washed properly, and they never seemed to have enough laundry. My friend stayed calm and cordial, but they ignored her wishes and wouldn't move her to another room. They offered a refund even though they don't usually do refunds, but she turned it down because she hadn't paid for the stay herself. It was by far her worst experience there.

I arrived for a booked room and the attendants, who seemed drunk, said they'd given it away and sent me to a completely different location. The staff seemed either drunk or smoking marijuana in the parking lot. The rooms were disgusting, and what you pay for isn't what you get. Save your money, time, and patience and book somewhere else.

The price is more than fair, and the staff are really personable and accommodating. It's also convenient for food and shopping, and you can see they put effort into cleaning. The location and budget are both excellent. The property could use some updating, though, and noise carries through the walls.
