Americas Best Value Inn & Suites Albemarle

Housekeeping did a great job, and our room was very clean. Everyone on staff was considerate of our situation, respectful, and ready to help. I’ll be back.

We were left alone, but staff were around when we needed anything. The room was clean and inexpensive. I’ve stayed at a lot of places in Albemarle, and I hope to choose this one from now on.

Having somewhere comfortable and affordable to unwind and rest makes our weekends here worthwhile, especially since my husband and I work different schedules during the week. ABV feels like a second home, and it’s our usual choice when we’re in the city or nearby. The rooms are welcoming, the entry is tidy and smells fresh, and the same friendly, smiling, polite people are always at the front desk.

I booked two nights but left after the first, and the hotel didn’t check me out until day two. They kept my money and refused to refund it. The owner said Priceline wouldn’t return it, while Priceline said the hotel refused. My reservation photos show I hadn’t booked a nonrefundable room, and the refund policy didn’t say I’d lose my money for leaving early. The hotel could have refunded Priceline, who would then have refunded me. If you stay here, make sure you get a checkout receipt. It seems like this may be a practice of theirs.
