The rent is really cheap, and the neighbors aren't great, but I'm grateful to have a place to stay. The wood stove keeps the house warm in winter, and there's a gas heater for power outages. Better than nothing :)

We left a day early and I'd pick somewhere else next time. The bathroom and towels were clean, and the sheets were clean too, with an extra blanket available, though we'd already bought our own. But the comforter had blood on it, the couch was filthy, and the plates and cups were still covered in food from the last guest. The place seemed clean until we checked those things. Also, watch for a huge pothole at the entrance.
The kitchen was so poorly equipped and greasy that we couldn't cook, and the furniture and bedding were awful. We also had problems with the lights and electrical outlets. Changing bulbs didn't help, and the toilet only stopped running if we took the back off. On top of that, there was no heat when we arrived, after a delayed check-in because housekeeping was behind. Maintenance came to light the heaters, but they barely helped and we nearly froze that first night. We bought a space heater, heated blankets, and firewood to stay warm, since each bed had only one blanket. The agency said they'd tell management, but we never heard back. Very disappointing.
The cabin was roomier than the photos suggested, and the heater kept it cozy on cool mornings. We opened the screened front door and windows for a nice breeze, and the ceiling fan helped too. We stayed in the king sleeper with recliner and didn't use either the fireplace or AC. The park is quiet, though it's beside a main road, so traffic may bother you if you're sensitive to it. At night it's quieter, and we enjoyed evening walks and stargazing from the porch. We saw lots of deer close enough to photograph. Grindstone lake is very nearby, and I was told Alto lake isn't far either. There's a small supermarket across the street. The rustic cabins are cute and have the comforts of home. There’s a pleasant pet-walking area just north of the property, though we didn't bring ours since we didn't know the area on this visit. Check-in was confusing, so call between 9am-5pm MST Monday-Friday for instructions, or keep an eye on your email to make sure they arrive before closing. Nobody is there to oversee check-in. Parking is one car per cabin, with a chance of fitting two at other cabins, and extra parking is available north of the property. The garbage cans are within walking distance but not close enough to be a nuisance. The park sits on a slight incline, like the town, and the steep entrance and exit were the only drawback for my unusually low car. We enjoyed the restful getaway and will stay again.
We won't stay here again or recommend it. The booking code apparently opened any room, so when we arrived, another couple was in the room we'd reserved and we ended up in theirs. It was 90 degrees outside, but the heater was on and our room was 100 degrees. The photos made it look much bigger and less dated than it is. The bed was miserable, with springs you could feel and a slope that left your feet higher. The pillows were so flat they might as well have been towels. Parking is cramped and first come, first served, with too few spaces for all the units. The AC also meant leaving the curtains open, so people walking by could see inside. And the post holding up the patio awning looked ready to fall over.
