Countryside Inn Motel Albert Lea

It was quiet, and I slept decently on the bed. The bathroom was clean, and I didn't see any bugs. There was a sunflower seed shell on the bedroom floor when we arrived. They had shampoo, lotion, and bar soap. The place is dated, though, and the floors need repair. It looks like some people in the other rooms live there full-time, and I agree the property is poorly maintained. The sign says new management, but it doesn't look like the place has had much attention in a long time.

I felt safe traveling alone here. It's not fancy, but it was clean and had the basics I needed, including hot water, dependable internet, and every cable channel I could think of. The location was convenient and the price was great. Mike, the new owner, seems like a solid guy. He could've charged more for the last-minute booking and the extra pups, but didn't. I'd recommend it.

The room was cozy and clean, with a newer mattress, fridge, and microwave. For the price, we were really impressed. The location was comfortable and quiet, and the two kind people who own and run it made us feel like family. They even treated our puppy like family. Thank you!

The room smelled like cigarettes and wasn't very clean, and I won't stay here again or recommend it. We did like the location, but the power went out in our room twice. The woman there was very rude. When my husband called the second time, she said she didn't know what to tell him. She eventually fixed the problem, but if a guest has paid for the room, staff should deal with problems respectfully. I don't care what kind of job someone has, that attitude toward a guest isn't acceptable.
